What is Entrainment?
Entrainment is where two or more rhythmic cycles adjust to sync up with each other.
It’s a universal force in nature, most commonly seen when an external rhythm influences an internal one. The easiest way to understand entrainment is what happens when two grandfather clocks are in the same room.
When first placed together in the same room, their pendulums will likely be swinging at slightly different times. Eventually, without any manual adjustment, the pendulums will start swinging in perfect synchrony. They have become “entrained” to each other.
This same principle can happen in human biology. People’s internal body rhythms, like heart rate, breathing, and even brain waves, can become entrained to external stimuli. The most common application involves using sound to encourage brain waves to align with a specific frequency or tempo.
All to say, the specially composed RRP Audio tracks
ARE the “external stimuli” in the entrainment process.
RRP Audio Tracks, use gentle infrasound (sound waves with frequencies below the lower limit of human audibility) to encourage the nervous system to entrain to calming, natural rhythms, activating the body’s rest and digest (parasympathetic) system.
Though traditional sound therapies have proven to be very beneficial, RRP differs from traditional sound therapies. RRP uses Sonocea Enhanced Technology to embed specific biological rhythms (including infrasound) into music, in order to take advantage of neural and physiological entrainment. This entrainment, signals safety and calm directly to the nervous system.
"Sonocea Enhanced" refers to a technology
that uses specifically composed soundscapes to help regulate the nervous system.
